Halogen Floor Lamp

The UltraLux™ compact fluorescent floor lamps and torchieres offer a safe, energy-efficient alternative to the conventional 300 watt halogen floor lamp. The UltraLux™ torchieres use a 58 watt Full Spectrum tri-phosphor fluorescent bulb, and is available in seven beautiful models. The fixture's dimmable switch allows for variable lighting levels ranging from 1,000 to 3,900 lumens. The balanced lamp design configuration offers uniform light distribution at any setting. With the lamp on high, the fixture will deliver light as bright as most 300 watt halogen torchieres.

At an electric rate of $0.14 per kilowatt hour, the cost of using one 300 watt halogen floor lamp for 5 hours per day is about $85.00 annually. In comparison, the UltraLux™ full spectrum compact fluorescent torchiere will only use about $14.00 of electricity during the year.

WHY SHOULD YOU BUY FLUORESCENT OVER HALOGEN?

• It operates at cooler temperatures! Halogen lamps have caused hundreds of home fires. The UltraLux™ lamp's operating temperature is 130 degrees.
