Michigan Manufacturer Hosts Fireworks Celebration In Hometown for 10th Straight Year
Full Spectrum Solutions, Inc. Sponsors 10th Annual Fireworks Show While Donating All Proceeds to Boy Scouts of Camp Teetonkah
Jackson, MI–June 23rd, 2014 –For the past nine years, the owners of Full Spectrum Solutions, Inc., Mike and Diane Nevins, have financed, organized, and partnered with the Boy Scouts of America to hold the 2-day, 4th of July fireworks show that is displayed over the waters at Big Wolf Lake. This event supports the Jackson Community and the Boy Scouts of America Camp Teetonkah and is one of largest and most beautiful displays in Michigan.
Over 11,000 attendees watched in 2013 as Mike and Cal Nevins, founders of Wolf Lake Pyro, set off several hundred fireworks taking up the better part of their Monday evening. This July 4th, the Nevins’s are anticipating an even bigger show being ignited from the Camp Teetonkah site.
As this is the 10th annual show for Wolf Lake, the benefits of being able to use the land at Camp Teetonkah are two-fold. “Watching a fireworks show over the lake is an entirely different experience for the community than watching a show over land. The reflection of the fireworks on the water enhances the overall experience,” said Cal Nevins.
Safety is the second major benefit the campsite offers. "It's important that we keep a minimum safety distance of 1,000 feet in the event of premature detonation of a shell," stated Mike Nevins. "Using the camp is essential because we automatically have protection on three sides. The only people we have to worry about are the ones on the lake and we're able to setup far enough back that it isn't a problem."
