Full Spectrum Solutions, Inc. was founded in the last decade by Michael and Diane Nevins in Jackson, Michigan. The Nevins experienced the effects of Malillumination, or lack of natural light, firsthand when they moved from Colorado to Michigan during the winter months.
In 1995, Michael Nevins, President and CEO of Full Spectrum Solutions, Inc., also perceived a serious need for balanced and healthy lighting in the working and learning environments of people who spend a majority of their day indoors. He researched available lighting products and found that their quality and durability needed to be substantially improved. Frustrated by the poor quality and high prices of these products, Mr. Nevins decided to develop his own line of high-quality and economical advanced full spectrum lighting products, known and marketed today under the name Paralite™, UltraLux® and BlueMax™.
The company has quickly grown into the leading manufacturer of full spectrum task lamp and light therapy fixtures as well as a total of eight full
lines of full spectrum solutions for home and office environments. Full Spectrum Solutions, Inc. believes in selling quality versatile products that
accommodate specific applications. Having outgrown its current home, Full Spectrum Solutions began construction in 2008 of its new state of the art manufacturing facility
just down the road from its current location. The new 70,000 square foot facility will house the main corporate offices and greatly expand our manufacturing capabilities.
When completed in 2009, the facility will be a LEED-certified structure, indicating it has met stringent resource usage criteria established by the U.S. Green Building Council. The building features solar panels to power heating and air conditioning, recycled energy-efficient window glass and a rooftop rainwater capture system to supplement city water. Other unique green features include geothermal heating and cooling, solar/wind hybrid parking lot lighting, and skylights that track the sun as it travels across the Michigan sky and integrate with daylight sensors to dim the EverLast® fixtures.
